Nunn and Daughter
Nunn and Son has been family owned and operated since the very beginning, but it turned out that my son had different career plans. My youngest daughter on the other hand, is a graphic designer and has decided to use her talent and skills here at Nunn and Son, and I couldn't be happier. With a degree in art and a certification in Graphic Design & Illustration from Adobe, perhaps we should change the name to Nunn and Daughter instead!

Starting with simple DIY design and stick decals all the way to professional airbrush artists. Here at Nunn and Son, we find ourselves somewhere in the middle of this range. Materials matter! Not all vinyl is created equally, it breaks our heart to see a truck or boat with cracked, faded, or shrunken vinyl, especially when it's only a few years old! Which is why we don't use cheap materials. We want your lettering to last and look great, even if that means less future jobs for us, we would rather give you a quality product that doesn't need replacing for a long time.

Boat Lettering Specialists
Boat Lettering is one of our areas of expertise! From the design parameters and material choices, to the installation technique, boat lettering is a completely different animal than truck or sign lettering.
Each boat has unique characteristics, including compound curves and various hardware elements to consider. Even then, what makes your boat unique is the name you choose to call her. It's personal, and should reflect your individuality as opposed to some generic font picked from a list.
Before we begin the design process, we want to know what’s behind the name, and what it means to you. Once we have an understanding of your unique boat and name, we begin designing and we often incorporate artwork to complement the lettering.
After we compile a few options for you, we invite you to a virtual meeting where you can see the lettering mocked up on your boat so you can be confident that the finished product will look as good as you imagined. During this meeting, nothing is taken for granted, all options will be fully explored so you won't have to second guess your decisions of colors or materials*.
After we’ve crafted your boat’s identity, we can offer to put your “brand” on other products to compliment your boat such as gunwale mats, crew apparel, or whatever you can think of to tie into your boat package.
When it comes to decorating your pride & joy, we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Allow us to custom tailor your vision on the water.
*While most revisions and options can be shown in real time during the virtual meeting, some options may require additional design time that cannot be completed in a virtual meeting. If this is the case, we can schedule additional meetings for you to review options.
